Drive-through coating line for Ingersoll Rand Compact
In 2007 Ingersoll Rand built a new modern facility on green graas located in Dobříš.
The company produces belt and skid-steer loaders, mini excavators, front loaders and telescopic manipulators, known on the market under the trademark BobcatŽ.
Ekol supplied a complete drive-through coating line consisting of the cataphoretic coating technology followed by the final powder plastic coating. This surface treatment technology guarantees high corrosion resistance on the final products.

Before the cataphoretic coating process the surface is pretreated in the drive-through spray washing machine. The two-stage alcalic degrease is followed by Fe-phosphate.

The cataphoretic coating is done in a drive-through cataphoretic tank. A special cataphoretic paint based on acrylic resin is applied. This paint has outstanding UV light resis-tance and thanks to its glossy appearance it is applied as the top coat.

Some items are coated for the second time with powder plastics. The powder plastic is sprayed on in an automatic coating spray booth with possible supplementary manual spray. More complicated items are coated in a manually-operated powder spray booth.

The items are transported through the line on a Power&Free conveyor system, which is fully controlled by the Tecomat control system.

The Tecomat control system controls the coating line, both the transport system and the technology. Individual processes are visualized and the control system. Some data are archived.
